How to cook

  • 1.Cut vegetable

    Finely chop the onion.

  • 2.Cut vegetable

    Peel and cut potatoes into chunks.

  • 3.Simmer

    Simmer until the potatoes are tender.
    *It takes time for the potatoes to cook. In the meantime,do other tasks.

  • 4.Peel skin

    Peel the lotus root.

  • 5.Cut vegetable

    Cut the lotus root into rounds of about 3-4 mm.

  • 6.Remove the lye

    Soak the sliced lotus root in water to remove the lye.

  • 7.Stir-fry

    Put vegetable oil in a frying pan and saute the onion over medium heat.

  • 8.Stir-fry

    Saute until the onions change color slightly,being careful not to burn them.

  • 9.Stir-fry

    Add minced meat,salt,pepper,and nutmeg.

  • 10.Stir-fry

    When the minced meat is cooked and browned,turn off the heat and let sit for about 20 minutes to cool them.

  • 11.Mash

    Once the potatoes are soft,divide them into bowls and mash them. After mashing,let sit for about 20 minutes to cool them.

  • 12.Stir

    After cool,mix the cooked minced meat with the mashed potatoes.

  • 13.Knead

    Stir roughly with chopsticks,then knead by hand.

  • 14.Drain off

    Remove lotus root from water and pat dry with kitchen paper.

  • 15.Make shape

    Take the mashed potatoes and miced meat mixture half the amount of the size you want to make and place a lotus root on them.

  • 16.Make shape

    Cover the top of lotus root with the mashed potatoes and minced meat mixture and shape it.

  • 17.Dip

    Coat with flour,then dip in egg,and finally in breadcrumbs.

  • 18.Deep fry

    Heat oil and fry at 160 degrees for about 3 minutes, then remove from oil. Drain the oil and serve on a plate.
