About Ingredients

Mirin

Mirin is a weakly sweet seasoning similar to sake, made from Japanese distilled spirits and rice malt. It used to adding sweetness, shine, and luster to food.

Miso

It's fermented seasoning made by adding salt and rice malt to grains such as soybeans, rice, or wheat. Miso commonly used in Japan is not spicy or strongly sweet, and differs from the miso used in other Asian countries.

Shiso leaves

Shiso is a typical Japanese herb, a leaf similar to but different from Perilla(often used Korean food), with a unique flavor. Shiso has both red and green leaves, When shiso without specified no color means green shiso in Japan.

How to cook

  • 1.Put in blender

    To some extent,coarsely chop the horse mackerel,put it in a blender with ginger,mirin,and miso to make mince.

    Prepare the mince,shiso leaves,potato starch,and spatula.

    Cover the shiso leaves evenly with potato starch. This will serve as a bridge to the mince.
